Introduction:
LV Sure (Phase 1) was completed in 2008 and the output was a feasibility study into the development of a proposed Low Voltage (LV) automation system primarily designed for the urban underground LV Network. The proposed system was based on the installation of an intelligent link unit at the LV distribution board and an electronic fuse unit installed at the link box that would be used to automatically disconnect faulted sections from feeder circuits and restore supplies to those customers unaffected by the faulted cable section.
Objectives:
This project was attempting to take forward the project work from the initial feasibility study to prototype development.
