Introduction: Following serious incidents in the past, there has been a requirement to source a technology solution to monitor the welfare of at-risk lone workers. The solution would enable them to raise an alert if required and to provide an appropriate process to render assistance should this be necessary. Over the last 12 months the Lone Worker Project has acquired third party solutions that provide support for employees who work alone in potentially risky environments and out of direct contact with other people for long periods of time. The solutions provide lone workers with a consistent and easy to access means of calling help in the event of an incident.

Objectives: To effectively manage lone worker risk using technological solutions.
