Introduction:
This project is to develop a low cost simple radio that will interface into the existing NCP radio communications infrastructure using spare I/O channels to recover single digital data alarms. By developing a way to utilise the digital channels of the unused control channels on Network Control Point (NCP) Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), the existing NCP asset could be used as a route for remote alarms into Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
Objectives:
Enable recovery of single digital data points for alarm conditions, for example Battery Alarms, relay watchdog alarms, passage of fault indication.
